About This Job

RLC Contracting Company, Inc., is a VA State licensed design/build contractor specializing residential remodeling with an immediate need for a motivated carpenter apprentice who can assist a lead carpenter and is willing to learn and strengthen their carpentry skills and techniques.

Responsibilities & Duties:

•

Maintain, cleanup, and protect work site

•

Complete a variety of construction tasks as directed

•

Follow company quality and safety standards

•

Learn, develop, and demonstrate proficiency in working with appropriate materials, tools

•

Adhere to safety and security procedures for work sites, workshop, tools and people

•

Perform other related duties as assigned

_ Position Requirements:_

•

Reliably come to work

•

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites at various locations is a must

•

Ability to safely use common construction tools; tape measure, level, hand tools, power tools, and equipment

•

Willing and able to learn and execute varied skills as gained through progressive work experience

•

Ability to safely utilize ladders and be comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet

•

Must be capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 80 pounds

•

Comfortable working in confined spaces

•

Ability to take and follow direction

•

Good verbal and written communication skills

•

Solid math skills

•

Willing and able to adapt to a changing work environment
