- Assume major responsibility in the meal preparation and service of assigned menu items in necessary quantities and on time for
- Assists in meal prep as assigned by café manager.
- Keep accurate food production and roster records daily.
- Handle and prepare food in compliance with verbal directions and written procedures, directives and

- Set up and serve on line following safety and merchandizing
- Assist in cleaning all kitchen equipment, cooking utensils, dishes and dining room tables as
- Strictly observe and practice all rules of sanitation and safety.
- Assist manager in preparing orders, reports, and inventories.
- Record leftovers, store properly and utilize effectively.
- Strictly observe and practice all rules of sanitation and safety.
- Support manager and cooperate in maintaining a high quality food service operation and harmonious working environment.
- Communicate with and assist afterschool program staff in the service of meals.
- Perform other duties as assigned my manager or
- Follow Federal laws, School Board policies and Food Service Directives.
- Assist Cafeteria Manager with operations, accounting, record keeping, preparing orders, reports, and inventories.
- May maintain correct amounts of change in cash drawer(s) opening.
- May operate cashier station during meal service following meal standard guidelines and assist other employees in service of meal as
- Assist with or prepare daily Participation and Monthly Cash Receipts
- High school graduate or equivalent with a working knowledge of mathematics.
- Knowledge, training and experience in institutional or quantity cooking and food
- Two years documented successful school food service experience. Management
- Experience in training, supervising and evaluating food service personnel.
- Experience in ordering and storing foods and supplies.
- Ability to organize and work harmoniously under pressure.
- Ability to work with administration, staff and students.
- Job requires stooping, bending, walking and standing most of the work day.
- Job requires lifting and handling institutional equipment, pots, pans, packages and
