Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Buyer/Planner/Receiver to join our dynamic team in Mills, WY. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of materials, components, and services to meet production and customer demands. The Buyer/Planner/Receiver will evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the efficient flow of goods and services. Key Responsibilities:
Purchasing and Planning:
•Develop and execute purchasing plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production requirements.
•Collaborate with senior buyers and cross-functional teams to align purchasing needs with operational goals.
•Analyze market trends and supplier performance to drive informed purchasing decisions.
•Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
•Supplier and Vendor Management:
•Cultivate and maintain effective, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
•Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost effective procurement.
•Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost to ensure adherence to company standards.
•Procurement and Receiving:
•Review and process purchase requisitions, generating purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
•Oversee the receipt of materials and ensure they are properly recorded, stored, and distributed in designated locations.
•Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Odoo) to track and maintain accurate records of purchase activity, inventory levels, and order status.
•Ensure the timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on any delays or issues regarding delivery schedules.
•Reporting and Continuous Improvement:
•Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, inventory status, and supplier performance.
•Identify process inefficiencies and suggest solutions to improve procurement processes.
•Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications: • Experience:
•5+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, and/or planning in a fast-paced environment.
•Previous experience with ERP systems (Odoo experience is a plus).
•Technical/Design documentation comprehension (is also a plus).
•Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
•Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
•Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•Collaborative team player who can work across multiple departments.
