The opportunity
We’re looking for a seasoned and strategic Hub Business Unit (HBU) Manager to lead our newly established Service Business Unit in North America and drive its ambitious growth agenda. You will be responsible for implementing the global Service strategy, driving business growth both organically and through identifying investment opportunities, managing regional P&L, overseeing local operations, and ensuring the highest standards of safety, integrity, quality and service delivery for the entire region. This role will report to our Global Service Business Unit Managing Director.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Service Strategy & Growth You shape and execute the HBU’s ambitious Service Strategy, driving local growth with Service units and Systems/Products BUs.
- Strategic Leadership You align regional strategies with Business Unit goals to accelerate growth and strengthen market presence.
- Business Development You grow the Service footprint by identifying new opportunities, focusing on Installed Base and market insights.
- Sales Leadership You lead regional service sales and align with global M&S to drive results.
- Collaboration You partner across regions and teams to align strategies and share best practices.
- Customer Focus You build strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Operational Management You ensure efficient, high-quality daily operations that meet company, safety, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Team Leadership You lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management You manage budgets to ensure cost-effective operations and drive profitability.
- Performance Monitoring You track KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Senior leadership experience in a service division of an OEM
- Proven success in driving growth and meeting financial targets
- Strong leadership, team management, and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to travel within the region
- Experience in the energy sector
- Experience in matrix organizations
- Familiarity with Hitachi Energy’s products and systems
