CoreLift™ is a novel Canadian equipment provider for modern core processing facilities based in Sudbury, Ontario. CoreLift is a rapidly growing company focused on innovative solutions for our mining and mineral exploration clients and are presently seeking a driven business professional to work with our General Manager to generate external market opportunities.
As our business development specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth and expanding our client base. You will be part of a great team managing and building relationships with potential clients, introducing key metrics to evaluate our sales performance, and implementing and maintaining a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to streamline our sales processes.
· Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching and prospecting potential clients within the mining industry.
· Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of our sales strategies. Track and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
· Lead the implementation and integration of a CRM software to streamline our sales processes and enhance customer engagement. Customize the CRM platform to align with our business needs and train team members on its functionality. Ensure accurate and up-to-date data entry and maintenance within the CRM system.
· Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives. Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to optimize the customer journey and enhance the client experience. (business speak to say work with our team to make it awesome for our clients!)
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Serve as a trusted advisor and point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services.
· Develop and coordinate distributor relationships. Work closely with them to have a client centric approach to tailor solutions that meet or exceed the clients’ requirements.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Technical background in the geosciences and mining will be considered an asset,
· Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or account management roles within the mining industry,
· Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies, with experience in implementing CRM software,
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Multilingualism is a significant asset (English, French, Spanish),
· Entrepreneurial drive to develop new client relationships and generate business development opportunities,
· Candidate should be well versed in Microsoft software including developing charts, track and analyze sales trends.
Job Location:
The role is an in-office position based in Sudbury, Ontario with business travel for conferences throughout the year (average one week per month).
• Be unemployed or underemployed youth (persons aged 30 and under),
• Have graduated within the last three years with a degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution,
• Have not previously participated in a youth internship with FedNor’s Regional Economic Growth through Innovation (REGI) or in any other federal or provincial internship program with pay for a period of six months or more,
• Not be related to the directors, officers, or managers of the organisation,
• Work on project-based activities listed under Canada’s Economic Strategy Tables (Advanced Manufacturing, Agri-Food, Clean Technologies, Digital Industries, Health/Bio Sciences, Resources of the Future, and Tourism),
• Must reside in Northern Ontario or be willing to move to the region for the period of the internship.
