Account Representative position will be in the Intermountain Region i.e. Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. Employee needs to be self-directed and work with little to no daily supervision or oversight. Communication skills and working with end users is key to our success in maintaining and growing our current business. Computer skills and providing daily reports to the mine operators and drilling contractors is a must. 75% of the job will be in the field providing BSS equipment and drilling fluids support on mining exploration, dewatering programs, surface, and underground drilling operations on active mine sites in Nevada and Intermountain Region.
There will also be support provided for water wells and infrastructure projects as well as industry trade shows, customer schools, continuing education classes. Baroid IDP’s typical markets and drilling disciplines served are Wireline Coring, Direct Mud Rotary, Reverse Circulation, Flooded Reverse, Direct Air, Horizontal Directional, and all manner of Construction Drilling including Slurry Wall, Drilled Shaft, HDD, and Tunnelling/Micro-Tunnelling. Working with and calling on our distribution network in the region is expected on a regular basis. Calls after normal business hours and on weekends are common. Schedule will be largely determined by workload demand and the employee’s discretion but would rarely exceed more than a 10/4.
Working conditions will be in remote, high-altitude environments with exposure to changing weather conditions throughout the year. Driving will be a daily requirement along with overnight stays. Compliance with the company driving policies, vehicle operation and maintenance requirements is a must. Employee will need to obtain initial MSHA training for surface and underground and maintain annual MSHA refresher and comply with mine site-specific training requirements. Company assigned training will also need to be maintained as required.
1. Market Analysis and Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape in the drilling fluids and solids control sector.
2. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as networking events, cold calling, email campaigns, and industry conferences to generate leads and expand the customer base.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored drilling fluid solutions.
4. Product Knowledge and Training: Stay updated on the latest developments in drilling fluid technology, products, and services to effectively communicate the value proposition to clients and address their inquiries.
5. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and prepare regular reports to management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
