The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a skilled Business Analyst IV to support their Integrity & Risk Management department. The primary focus of this role is to develop and automate the maintenance of PowerBI dashboards, transforming raw data into actionable insights to support business decision-making and improve performance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Data Retrieval: Identify raw data sources, understand data systems, and use automation techniques to manipulate data.
•Data Analysis: Transform raw data into actionable insights to support business decision-making and improve business performance.
•Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain dashboards to enhance data analysis and communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•Collaborate with various departments to understand data needs, develop business intelligence solutions, and provide detailed reports and dashboards.
•Capture business requirements, prioritize them, and track delivery progress.
•Develop and deliver training, maintain an inventory of KPIs, and respond to ad-hoc data requests.
•Work independently on assignments with complex technical issues, making effective technical decisions with minimal supervision.
•Lead the development and enhancement of team processes and procedural documents.
•Provide mentoring, training, and direction to departmental staff, contractors, and consultants.
Qualifications:
Required:
•Minimum of 10 years of related experience in integrity or pipeline industry.
•Project management skills, including developing schedules and driving projects to completion.
•Broad business and technical knowledge for problem-solving and project management.
•Strong facilitation, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI, Power Query, and other technical applications.
•Advanced data visualization techniques and tools, specifically PowerBI.
•System-based thinking with an understanding of interrelationships between data systems.
•Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Self-motivated, independent, innovative, and a team player.
•Ability to travel throughout North America for business purposes.
Preferred:
•Prior work experience in integrity or pipeline operations.
•Experience developing executive-level dashboards.
•Strong data analysis, metrics, and data mining skills.
•Background in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
•Strong mentorship and informal leadership skills.
