The Broadband Services Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and stable operation of the District’s Broadband resources and facilities. This includes effectively managing the design and implementation of solutions aligning with the District’s Strategic Plan while conforming to industry standards and regulations.
This position is non-remote with a salary midpoint of $137,058. It will be open until filled, first candidate review will be July 13, 2025.

This position directly supervises up to 6 employees in the Broadband Department. This position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with a degree in engineering or equivalent; and combination of 4 years of experience or equivalent in Broadband/Fiber. Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience designing a fiber-to-the-home distribution network. Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience reviewing third party designs to ensure designs meet code and preferred District practices. Strong project management experience preferred.
Must have a valid Driver’s license. Fiber optics installation or design certification preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word as well as major District Enterprise programs. In addition, operate standard office equipment to include fax, copy machine, scanner and multi-phone telephones.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to walk, climb stairs, bend, reach, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and sit for extended periods of time. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to indoor and outdoor environments. Outdoor settings include all types of property and site conditions including open spaces, timberlands, urban developments, flat and hilly terrain, building construction sites, and road rights-of-way. Indoor settings include residential, commercial, and industrial sites that can involve cramped spaces, moving machinery, etc. May be exposed to rough terrain in various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
This position may require work hours in excess of 40 hours per week. Responds to after-hours phone calls or callouts, including day, night, and weekend.
