Box Truck Driver

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a professional with a strong driving record, warehouse experience, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.

Duties

- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver goods to designated locations across routes.

- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.

- Assist with moving items within warehouses or customer sites as needed.

- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs for each trip.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during routes.

- Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during driving operations.

- Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries.

- Daily schedule may include some inhouse warehouse responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Valid class B driver’s license with air brake certification with a clean driving record.

- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience in heavy lifting and moving tasks.

- Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission preferred.

- Warehouse experience including familiarity with forklifts, pallet jacks, and loading/unloading procedures is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of safety standards related to commercial driving and cargo handling.

- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes.

- Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities.

- Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow schedules precisely and adapt to changing routes or priorities. This position is vital to our logistics operations, requiring a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
