Essential Functions
•Responsible for scheduling, organizing, directing, and overseeing the correct and timely completion of formulation and multiple blending production functions.
•Establish performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
•Lead continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and drive accountability.
•Implement and drive lean manufacturing methods to eliminate waste and improve efficiency.
•Ensure all Chemical Blenders are efficient, effective, properly trained, and adhere to all applicable environmental, health, safety, quality, and company rules and regulations.
•Manage raw material input and finished product output requirements, working with other departments to coordinate company and customer needs.
•Ensure production deadlines are met and minimums stock levels are maintained, as outlined by management.
•Responsible for ensuring inspections are accurately and effectively conducted.
•Analyze work orders to estimate labor hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external demands.
•Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
•Maintains time and production records.
Qualifications
•High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
•Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is preferred.
•Management experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not required.
•Forklift Certification is preferred, but not required.
•Welding experience is preferred.
•Must possess a valid driver’s license.

•Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse.
•Customer Service Skills: Meet internal and external commitments, respond promptly to customer needs, and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
•Work Ethic: Be dependable, trustworthy, truthful, and credible in the workplace. Display a sincere desire to provide service or assistance, follow instructions, and take responsibility for your own actions. Show a commitment to doing the best job possible.
•Physical Abilities: Lift and carry 50 pounds in various packaging. Tip and move 55-gallon drums, weighing up to 600 pounds, with the use of a drum dolly.
Work Environment
A chemical manufacturing environment inside and outside of metal buildings. The employee will work in temperature extremes and in a chemical-odors environment. Depending on exact position, employee may need to: operate a forklift, tip and move 55-gallon drums weighing up to 600 pounds with a drum dolly, lift and carry 100 pounds in various packaging lift, and/or handle empty 55-gallon drums.
