Position: Blasting and Finishing Operator Location: 21620 AL HWY 117, Ider, AL 35981 Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shifts - Overtime as needed Benefits:

About the Role:
As an Operator at Taylor Coatings, you will be responsible for assisting with running our shot blasting machine and assisting with various powder coating operations - with the intentions to also cross train into coating. Your daily tasks may change, requiring flexibility and quick adaptation to meet the needs of the shop. You will be expected to operate various machines, maintain equipment, and support production needs.
- Log on and off jobs accurately
- Maintain a clean work area (including machines, tools, and equipment)
- Operate forklifts and perform forklift operations
- Run the shot blaster and assist powder coaters as needed
- Ensure parts meet quality standards for coverage, adhesion, and finish
- Perform masking, hanging, and staging of parts for blasting and coating
- Monitor and maintain machine performance
- Rack and load parts onto the monorail system
- Assist with fixture design and construction
- Maintain racking and rigging equipment
- Monitor and refill media levels in shot blaster
- Stage deliveries and prepare parts for shipment (including banding and prepping for shipping)
- Experience is preferred, but not necessary
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods, lifting parts, etc.)
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to perform precise and accurate work
- Forklift experience required
- Manufacturing or shop environment background preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptable with the ability to change direction quickly as tasks evolve
