Position: Shipper/Blaster

This person is responsible for safely operating the steel shot blaster to blast iron castings ranging in size from 1 pound to 1,300 pounds, properly preparing orders for shipment, and loading/unloading all inbound/outbound trucks with a forklift. The position is onsite, at the below address:

Location:700 Tub Mill Run Road, West Salisbury, PA 15565

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, overtime is available

Compensation: Dependent upon experience and qualifications – starting at $15.00/hr

Specific Job Functions

· Safely load/unload the blaster with assistance from the grinder operators as needed

· Perform accurate shipping counts and outgoing documentation

· Perform accurate final inspection of all outgoing castings

· Assemble assemblies

· Paint castings as required by customer orders

· Properly load/unload outbound/inbound trucks using a forklift

· Assist with the shakeout process as needed

· Fill in for any Grinder Operators on an as-needed basis

Qualifications

· Competitive, motivated, and self-directed with an appetite for learning

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proper training/certification of mobile equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes

· Will train if no experience

Position: Grinder Operator

This person is responsible for safely preparing castings for shipment by cleaning, grinding, and palletizing castings. The position is onsite, at the below address:

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, overtime is available

Specific Job Functions

· Assist the Shipper/Blaster with loading and unloading the blaster

· Safely remove gates and risers from the castings with the appropriate equipment

· Perform minor repairs to finished castings as needed

· Perform detailed grinding of castings before shipment

· Assist in the assembly and palletizing of customers' orders in a good quality manner

· Accurately identify and mark scrap materials

· Safely ensure all scrap metal is put in the proper storage location

· Accurately inspect castings for quality standards and segregate the ones that do not pass inspection

· Coordinate activities with the shake-out and shipping departments

Position: Core Maker

This person is responsible for properly assembling quality cores for the production process on time. The position is onsite, at the below address:

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, overtime is available

Specific Job Functions

· Prioritize core production to meet production plans and achieve output goals

· Rod and construct sand cores to achieve an excellent casting finish

· Coat and paint sand cores

· Accurately inspect core boxes for any damage

· Maintain a high-quality sand supply

· Maintain adequate consumables, paint, and necessary supplies

· Clean and maintain the mini-mixer

Qualifications

· Basic understanding of blueprints and drawings

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Proper training/certification of mobile equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes

· Will train if no experience
