Soelect has developed an advanced lithium metal composite anode that, when combined with a solid-state or liquid electrolyte, significantly increases energy density, power and safety while also lowering manufacturing costs through our patented material design and proprietary processes.
Position Brief
•Battery Electrode Process Manager or Sr Manager / Manufacturing Department
•Position: Full Time: 40hrs per week / On-site M-F / Greensboro, NC
•Salary range: Negotiable based on experience.
Qualification
•10+ years of experience in lithium-ion battery materials and electrodes, with expertise in manufacturing machine design, production processes, and quality systems.
•Specialized knowledge in cathode and anode electrode manufacturing processes.
•Experience in electrode coating, calendaring, slitting, and notching is a strong plus.
•Experience with lithium metal, copper foil, or aluminum foil manufacturing processes is also highly valued.
•Background in lithium metal roll-to-roll processing, deposition, sputtering, or electroplating is welcome.
•Strong problem-solving mindset, particularly suited to the fast-paced environment of a startup company.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, or equivalent process improvement tools.
•Experience in scaling up battery materials from pilot to mass production.
Roles & Responsibilities
•Lead scalable lithium metal roll-to-roll production, including machine design, equipment operation, upgrades, maintenance, and adherence to safety and manufacturer specifications.
•Drive process optimization and stabilization for lithium metal anode production, particularly in roll-to-roll and lamination operations.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, sourcing, production, and technical teams to execute company projects, align schedules, and support production scale-up and new technology development.
•Conduct research and development on lithium metal, foil handling, extrusion, rolling, and chemical processing to enhance product quality, production efficiency, and electrode performance.
•Generate intellectual property and trade secrets to protect technological advancements and ensure a competitive position.
•Develop and manage SOPs, specification requirements, anode demand schedules, and change control processes in support of lithium anode processing.
•Interface regularly within the team to track project progress and assist technical leaders with strategy, hiring, and budget planning.
•Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for internal communication and management reviews.
•Monitor equipment, conduct risk assessments, and implement process improvements in support of safe, efficient, and high-quality anode and lithium processing operations.
•Lead and manage joint development program timelines, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of program milestones.
