Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair. As a Journeyman Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality service and exceptional customer care.
Duties
•
Perform diagnostics on vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
•
Utilize power tools and equipment to conduct repairs, including but not limited to engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems.
•
Assemble and maintain various automotive components as needed.
•
Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
•
Conducting necessary repairs and testing vehicles before handing them back to employees.
•
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop environment.
•
Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and working with machinery.
•
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
•
Inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet provincial requirements for safety and emissions
•
Maintaining paperwork and records
•
Ensuring equipment longevity
Skills:
•
Knowledge and ability to operate auto repair tools
•
Knowledge and ability to use diagnostic tools
•
Well-versed in the use of automotive tools in general
•
Alberta License Mechanic
Experience
•
Proven 4 years experience as a licensed automotive technician.
•
Proficiency in using various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
•
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex issues (i.e.: brake system diagnosis, transmission work, suspension and steering system, etc.)
License/Certification:
•
Drivers License (required)
•
Journeyman (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
