Cotterman Company currently has an opening for an Automation Technician. The Automation Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration, and maintenance of automated industrial machinery in our Pennsylvania facility.
•Repair and troubleshoot robotic welding, cutting and material handling systems.
•Perform robotic programming and setup.
•Install new and refurbished robotic welding systems.
•Troubleshoot and repair automated welding equipment.
•Inspect, test, diagnose, repair, and replace hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical components.
•Repair and replace motors, amplifiers, governors, reducers, servos, sensors, balancers, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•High school diploma (or equivalent) required, and the completion of a 2-year degree or technical certificate program in a Robotics or related field.
•·3 to 5 years manufacturing experience and a strong technical knowledge in the programming, installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of robotic equipment. Multiple years of high-level Fanuc programming experience in vision and welding requiring integration of new robotic cells.
•Must have hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial robots.
•Experience with mechanical, electrical, robotic, controls, and programming; strong electrical experience and knowledge of pneumatics.
•Proficiently read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
•Test, troubleshoot, and oversee implementation of new processes and robotics.
•Demonstrate proficiency while troubleshooting automated welding cells to effect permanent change in order to eliminate cell down time.
•Prioritize tasks within the facility relating to troubleshooting, set-up and coordinate events with production.
•Ability to work overtime as required.
