Automation & Generator Specialist

Excess Energy has immediate openings for an Automation & Generator Field Specialist to expand our efforts in the fast paced, oil and gas market in the San Juan Basin.

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, reliable, demonstrate a desire to learn and is capable of adapting quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, trouble-shooting, and maintaining preventive maintenance schedule.

-Experience in the following:

-Low voltage DC 12vDC- 24vDC

- High Voltage DC 300-760 vDC

-High voltage AC (480VAC).

-Mechanical knowledge including ability to service Natural Gas generators. Oil/Coolant services and assist our mechanical team on PM schedule.

We are looking for a candidate that wants to grow and advance within our business. Ideal candidate would have experience in the following:

-Emerson Roc 107/800

- Rosemount tank radars and WPG

- Oleum level and pressure gauges

-Oleum software.

-Prime Power Generators

-Knowledge of the following principles: 4-20mA signals, A/O, A/I, D/O, D/I, solar controllers, 24vDC battery/UPS systems. TCP 4 settings, IP protocol.

Experience in commercial and industrial environments - Strong mechanical aptitude with proficiency in various instruments and hand tools, such as electrical multi-meters and precision measuring devices. - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite - Ability to identify and solve problems quickly while performing quality, accurate work under pressure.

Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of verified experience. High School Diploma, Valid Driver's License and prior construction, mechanical, technical or industrial experience preferred.

Summary

As an Automation & Generator Field Specialist, you will be integral to ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of automated systems in various industrial settings. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will leverage your core skills in electrical and mechanical knowledge, programmable logic controllers, and industrial maintenance to troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance. Your premium expertise in industrial electrical systems will enhance our service offerings. Additionally, your relevant skills in customer service, schematics, and precision measuring instruments will ensure high-quality support and satisfaction for our clients. This position includes an ON CALL SCHEDULE, usually rotating every 4 weeks of 24/7 Callouts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
