Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Automation Engineer at our facility in Niles, OH. The Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to improve manufacturing processes. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting equipment, enhancing process control systems, programming and integrating equipment, and working with electrical systems to optimize production efficiency and accuracy. This role will also be responsible for spearheading condition-based monitoring and machine learning systems for heavy manufacturing equipment.

Qualifications

- Excellent Troubleshooting and Process Control skills to identify and resolve technical issues and improve operations.

- Expertise in Electrical Engineering and familiar with SCADA systems or condition-based monitoring infrastructure.

- 3+ years of Experience with PLCs (Allen Bradley), including programming, design, and integration into production systems.

- Familiarity with safety protocols and the ability to work within industry standards.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field is required.

- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills with a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

- Previous experience within the manufacturing or aluminum extrusion industry is a plus.

Compensation and bonus are dependent on experience.
