The Audio Visual (A/V) Technician is responsible for the wiring, setup, operation, and maintenance of audio, video, networking and lighting equipment used for in various residential & commercial settings. This role ensures the seamless integration and operation of AV systems, delivering high-quality technical support to clients, customers, and general contractors. The AV Technician will work with a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly, set up in a timely manner, and that technical problems are resolved quickly and effectively. The AV Technician will make sure all work performed is of the highest standard possible.
Being able to travel out of town, work overtime, and weekends is a huge plus.

Duties
•Program, Diagnose and repair issues in installed AV and smart home systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, etc.).
•Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues, switch configurations, and device integrations.
•Service and recalibrate lighting systems, motorized shades, alarm systems, and distributed audio/video systems.
•Mount TV's, cut out speakers, install home theater equipment.
•Perform firmware updates, factory resets, and reprogramming as needed.
•Communicate with clients to assess problems and explain service actions taken.
•Document all diagnostics, parts used, and service resolutions clearly and professionally.
•Collaborate with the engineering, installation, and programming teams to resolve complex issues.
•Maintain an organized inventory of audio-visual equipment and supplies.
Requirements
•Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems & low voltage systems.
•Proficiency in software troubleshooting related to audio-visual technology.
•Familiarity with cabling techniques and low voltage installations.
•Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients regarding technical issues.
•Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors and customers.
•Experience working with computer hardware as it relates to audio-visual setups.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
