At LCRA, we are seeking an Associate General Counsel to join our legal team! This is an opportunity to provide legal advice, representation and related services for LCRA Board of Directors and management. In this role you will provide support in one or more areas of natural resources, environmental, regulatory, or administrative law practice. - Represent LCRA in various transactions and/or proceedings before regulatory agencies, commissioners, board, hearing officers and public agencies.
- Provide legal advice and review as needed, including providing advice to other departments, pertaining to environmental regulation, permitting, and enforcement at the local, state, and federal level.
- Prepare and review legal documents and other correspondence, including pleadings, agreements, testimony, affidavits, briefs and contracts.
- Juris Doctor plus eight or more years of relevant experience practicing law as a licensed attorney in the relevant practice area.
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas
- Experience advising clients on matters related natural resources, environmental, regulatory, and administrative law at the state and federal level
- Experience with permitting, contested cases or other litigation, review and comment of proposed rules, environmental due diligence related to transactions
