AES Clean Energy is currently seeking an Associate Develope r for its renewable energy projects in A rizona and N evada .

Department: Development, West Region, AZ/NV Market

Reports To: Development Manager , AZ / NV

This is a remote position; however, the ideal candidate will be based in Arizona to better align with the team's needs. There will be 10-15% travelling to project sites.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

- Support and lead management of development activities for early -mid-late stage solar and solar + energy storage projects within the Arizona and Nevada markets a s well as national Tribal projects ; may support and lead 1-3 projects with oversight by manager ; limited travel for projects may be required on an as needed basis .

- Coordinate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) , including but not limited to l and, real estate, p ermitting, e ngineering , environmental , i nterconnection , commercial, insurance, tax, legal, finance, pre-construction, execution , and procurement teams , as well as outside consultants , on an as needed basis , to ensure that projects are meeting development milestones , development risks are being mitigated, and project returns are maximized.

- Support establishment and maintenance of project budget s; tracking and management of project spend (PRs/POs/Invoices); and establish ment and maintenance of preliminary project schedules (Microsoft Project/P6).

- S upport relationships with local , state, and federal authorities having jurisdiction , including but not limited to municipal, count y , state, and tribal authorities, on an as needed basis, to ensure projects are obtaining all possible incentives and have good standing within the local communities .

- M aintain development asset database with project inputs and status updates , including but not limited to coordinating regularly with SMEs to maintain project risk register s and commercial readiness activities.

- Implement and maintain project task manag e ment system, including but not limited to engineering, estimating, commercial curve, financial model, and P6 scheduling requests .

- Assist with financial modeling and analysis by compiling data, coordinating with SMEs, and ensuring project inputs are up to date

- Assist land and real estate teams in the acquisition of development assets , on an as needed basis , by researching land records and reviewing and understanding real property agreements, including but not limited to, option agreements, purchase/lease agreements, rights-of-way agreements , easements, ALTA surveys, legal descriptions, and title reports .

- Collaborate with and s upport SMEs as well as outside consultants, on an as needed basis , with research and analysis ; coordinating and running in-person /virtual meetings or phone calls ; and tracking project progress to provide up to date project information .

- Support the U tility and C o mmercial P ower M arketing teams , on an as needed basis , with RFP responses and other off-taker outreach .

- Support the I nterconnection team with interconnection applications , review and analy sis of large generator interconnection procedures and timelines , interconnection study reviews and analysis , material modification assessments, and interconnection and transmission strategy.

- Research emerging renewable energy markets including but not limited to reviewing and analyzing utilities’ Integrated Resource Plan s (IRPs) to support identification of new development prospects and meet project filing goals.

- 1- 3 years’ relevant experience administering/developing projects and/or project financing , preference for experience working in the power /renewable energy industry, in A rizona, N evada, and/or Tribal market s .

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , QuickBase , Box, SharePoint, Iron clad , and Microsoft Project.

- Passion for the renewable energy industry .

Education:

- BS /BA degree required with concentration in engineering, environmental , energy , planning, business, real estate development, construction management, project management, finance , or economics .
