The Associate Analyst/Analyst, Business Planning is responsible for assisting with monthly financial forecasts, developing impactful variance commentary and ad-hoc analysis used for management reporting materials, as well as assisting with the annual Budget process. Analysts will interface with subject matter experts across the enterprise to help ensure the corporate financial forecasts are constructed with cohesive assumptions, accurate operational / financial data, and alignment with the Company’s strategic views. This position will report to the Director, Business Planning but will require extensive collaboration with all members of the broader Finance & Treasury organization.
- Assist with monthly financial forecasts by interfacing with stakeholders, oversee Hyperion systems calculating direct margins, and ensure data integrity
- Support the integration of new assets and commercial agreements into the consolidated forecast
- Prepare variance analysis, KPI trends, and develop clear narratives / actionable insights for monthly management reporting requirements
- Develop ad-hoc analysis to support strategic decision making and knowledge creation
- Assist with the corporate Budget process including preparation, execution, and analysis of the results
- Assist in preparation of quarterly CFO Dashboard and Board slides with key financial and operational metrics to support executive review and quarterly earnings calls
- Assist Treasury with cash forecasting, liquidity reporting, and debt compliance
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and alignment with various business development and growth initiatives

The position requires strong command of financial concepts and analytical skills, as well as the ability to multitask intraday. Analysts must demonstrate sound organizational skills, curiosity to seek further clarification or details when required, and the ability to apply critical thinking to solve ambiguity. Additionally, experience with financial modeling and Oracle Hyperion Planning systems would be valuable.

Must be able to work under deadline pressure and must be willing to work outside of normal office hours as required.Education : Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering. Master’s degree preferred but not required. CPA certification is also a plus.
Associate Analyst, Business Planning: Zero (0) to two (2) years’ professional experience in Business Planning, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, and/or Consulting. Experience within LNG, natural gas, or energy industries is a plus. Experience with financial modeling and Oracle Hyperion Planning systems is preferred.
