ASSOCIATE ENERGY ANALYST
SUMMARY:
This is an entry to mid-level energy analyst position responsible for performing specialized analytical services.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Compile and interpret utility-related energy data and respective databases. Compile standard and customized reports on electric, gas, water, sewer and other utility and energy data.
•Track service type, vendor, location, rate and energy load, including kW and kWh by month or invoice cycle and by fiscal year in order to support regular monthly reporting.
•Report anomalies regarding kWh usage on hourly, daily and weekly schedules, cost analysis against division budgets.
•Support budget development by utilizing site, consumption, cost and forecast information for baseline development and final deliverable.
•Assist with financial accrual, variance, and trending analysis reporting.
•Use analytical abilities to determine and identify trends in expense and usage data.
•Assist in searching for regulatory issues.
•Facilitate energy trending and benchmarking process for clients.
•Locate and evaluate sites that are not within the client’s standard profile for energy use and/or cost and report these outliers to appropriate client personnel.
•Generate situation-specific reports and perform related investigative analysis.
•Gather historical energy data, process and record contract data into AviTrack.
•Contribute to the continuous process improvement for the analyst services provided.

The pay range for this role is: $17.00-30.00 hourly
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data. This position is eligible for our comprehensive and competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification/
Knowledge
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
•Other combinations of experience/education may be considered
Experience:
•Two years of related experience or demonstrated experience in other analytical capacities.
•Experience with report design and statistical analysis in a business or corporate environment
Skills/Abilities:
•Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets – specifically formulas and pivot tables.
•Familiarity with Access databases, SQL Server, web development tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Typical office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
•Performing duties and attending events during the evening and on the weekend occurs occasionally and may be required
•Traveling off-site to a local event occurs rarely and may be required
•Incumbent may be exposed to frequent noise caused by telephones, office machines, and nearby oral communications among fellow employee
REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES
•Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit and use a computer for a long period of time
•Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents
•Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper
•Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone
•Ability to lift and carry a stack of forms and documents weighing up to 15 pounds
