Cedar Run Construction, LLC is a small but dynamic and growing construction company specializing in commercial wood framing projects utilizing prefabricated wall panels built in our innovative shop. We are currently seeking the right person to join our team as Assistant to Construction Operation Managers, a newly created position. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The ideal team member must have a positive, “everything is possible” attitude, an understanding of construction principles, practices and terms and possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills. This person will be the direct assistant to the Operations Managers.
· Serve as the primary filter for Managers, overseeing and managing all communications.
· Prioritize and independently handle tasks, while keeping Manager aware of any relevant and time‐sensitive items and staying attentive to those tasks.
· Visit jobsites with Managers, as needed. A valid driver’s license is required.
· Preparing and distributing quotes and bid documents for customers and contractors.
· Work with Manager to maintain up‐to‐date job/bid Scopes of Work. This includes updating, distributing, and ensuring that we have fully executed, current versions of all relevant contract documents on file for Trade Partners and Suppliers.
· Serve as the primary filter for Manager, overseeing and managing all communications (emails, letters).
· Develop special projects from concept to completion. This involves research, collaboration, and innovative thinking, and requires the ability to bring clarity out of ambiguity.
· Maintain in-house databased of all open, pending and potential construction jobs.
· Responsible for daily communication with subcontractors/suppliers on contracts.
· Work with various forms, documents, AIA invoices, contracts, purchase orders, change orders.
· Participate in overall site safety management, including compliance with project specific safety plan and the company’s safety policies.
· Attend team, client and project meetings; document meeting notes for entry into project records.
· Willingness to go the extra mile for the good of the company, estimating team, and client.
· Solid understanding of construction principles, terms and practices.
· High level of verbal and written communication skills.
· Must have valid drivers license and willingness to drive to jobsites.
· Experienced multi-tasker who thrives in a rapidly changing work environment.
· Able to work effectively under a deadline.
· Outgoing, friendly, personable and professional, with excellent communication skills.
· Conduct all dealings on behalf of the company with the highest ethical standards and moral integrity.
· Ability to work in a detailed and accurate manner.
