Assistant Project Manager-EPC
Location: Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years' experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.
CLPE is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (PM) to join our team of Professionals on USACE project work located at JBLM.
The Assistant PM will provide support with coordinating construction projects from initial planning to scheduling, resource allocation and project accounting, through project close out; Works as a Coordinator and Liaison to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget.

Duties And Responsibilities
Cultivate and maintain effective relations with the Client, project team, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel
Support the Project Manager with developing the budget, schedule, and construction service plans for various elements of the project
Work closely with PM and Superintendent to identify and allocate resources, including personnel and materials.
Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance with respect to timeliness, efficiency, and quality.
Participate in and monitor the procurement process, cost control, and change management systems.
Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.
Participate in pre-construction meetings, schedule meetings, design reviews, and project kickoff meetings to provide input on quality control requirements and expectations.
Submittal creation and tracking.
Develop, schedule, and implement procedures for tracking control phase meetings required for the three-phase control system.
Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle.
Uphold the core safety values of the company and collaborate with the EH&S Director to effectively communicate and enforce safety standards.

Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field required. Previous related work experience may substitute
Five (5) years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager or QC Construction Manager require
Two-four (2-4) years of experience with building construction, materials, systems, field work or similar required
OSHA 30 Certifie
EM 385-1-1 Training required
Previous experience with USACE or federal government construction projects required
Current USACE CQM training and certification or ability to get one required
Detail oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills
Organized, problem-solver with ability to multitask
Proficiency with MS Office, and other Microsoft Office products
Must have excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
You must be a US citizen.
You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance
Valid driver's license required with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.

Salary range: $90,000-$110,000/annual b
