Your Next Challenge
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be part of the Operations Leadership Team. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Lead and mentor the Mine Operations, Mobile Maintenance and Technical Teams.
- Champion activities that contribute to the overall achievement of “zero harm” safety performance where safety is owned and embraced by everyone.
- Ensure activities are aligned with regulatory and company standards.
- Be accountable for annual department operating budgets, capital spend and production goals.
- Support and champion Business Improvement objectives.
- Manage major contract compliance and performance.
- Implement and improve work processes and policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering or related discipline;
- 15 years’ of experience as a senior leader in mining;
- Knowledge and understanding of all Ontario health, safety and environmental acts and legislation related to mining operations;
- Strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage multiple projects on competing timelines;
- Demonstrated success in leading large teams;
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
