We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled Assistant Electrical Service Manager to support our growing electrical service operations with at least 3 years experience in the trade. This role is ideal for someone with strong electrical knowledge, leadership ability, and experience supporting field teams. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, office staff, and electricians to oversee job quality, estimates, compliance, and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities for Assistant Electrical Service Manager:
Estimating & Job Preparation:
•Assist in reviewing and preparing detailed service estimates
•Ensure all jobs are scoped to meet NEC code and local jurisdictional requirements
•Confirm material selections and labor estimates are appropriate for job complexity
•Review technician notes, job photos, and diagnostics to ensure accurate quoting
Field Oversight & Support:
•Visit job sites to perform quality control checks, ensure safety compliance, and support field crews
•Help troubleshoot electrical issues in the field and confirm installations meet code and company standards
•Provide coaching and support for electricians to maintain workmanship standards and documentation quality
•Serve as an additional point of contact for clients and inspectors during service jobs
Operations & Systems Management:
•Monitor active jobs and assist with technician dispatching and resource allocation
•Use ServiceTitan (or Procore) to track job status, update notes, and ensure proper documentation
•Assist in managing job timelines, warranty follow-ups, and technician accountability
Light Diagnostics & Logistical Support:
•Perform light electrical diagnostics or assessments in the field as needed
•Support material pickup/delivery or technician transport on high-priority jobs
Qualifications for Assistant Electrical Service Manager:
•At least 3+ years of experience required in the electrical field (residential or commercial service, estimating, or project management)
•Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical regulations
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and permitting requirements
•Familiarity with electrical materials, installation methods, and inspection protocols
•Proficient in field service management software like ServiceTitan or Procore (preferred)
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
