Now Hiring: Electrical Assistant Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assistant Project Manager to oversee the coordination, planning, and supervision of Electrical Contractors and craft activities within a specific discipline. In this role, you will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, so a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Looking specifically for experienced Assistant Project Managers, ideally with Utility Scale Wind/Solar experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Coordinate work within the electrical scope, ensuring high-quality installation of electrical portions, including underground cabling, overhead lines, and substation construction
•Oversee the installation of the collection system and coordinate the connection of the power grid to the existing distribution system with the Owner and other Key Stakeholders
•Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the engineering team, verifying quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship
•Partner with the Electrical Subcontractor and Self-Perform crews to ensure schedule and contractual obligations are being met
•Ensure work teams have the necessary resources and support, and collaborate with the quality control team, including self-performed and subcontracted work
•Monitor and review trade partner work plans and activities for safety concerns, ensuring implementation, practice, and enforcement of the company’s Safety Program
•Participate in project meetings and lead discipline-related project meetings, providing liaison between the Owner, field engineers, and contractors or craft workers
•Oversee documentation, tracking, and analysis of all discipline scope of work progress
•Develop Change Orders and Correspondence relative to the discipline Scope of Work
•Maintain relationships with all visitors to the site, including customers, engineers, union representatives, subcontractors, etc.
•Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Construction industry, ideally working with medium voltage equipment and cable, collection lines and substation construction
•Preferred 2 years’ supervisory experience
•Proficiency in documentation, tracking, Contractual responsibilities, and Environmental, Safety, and Quality (ESQ) best practices
•Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
