The Electrical Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical construction projects from pre-construction through completion. The APM ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
· Assist with developing project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
· Coordinate with field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
· Track and manage project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc.).
· Monitor deliveries to ensure on-time availability at job sites.
· Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
· Track job costs and prepare cost-to-complete reports.
· Review vendor invoices and subcontractor billings for accuracy.
· Identify and report potential cost overruns to the Project Manager.
· Conduct periodic site visits to monitor progress and verify quality.
· Support resolution of field issues in coordination with foremen and superintendents.
· Help enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
· 1–3 years of experience in electrical construction or project management support role.
· Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction processes.
· Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
