We are looking for an employee that can perform assembly operations in our warehouse setting for 8 hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Our ideal candidate is dependable, a fast learner, follows instructions and is fastidious about maintaining a clean and safe work environment with everything in its place. The selected candidate will learn to perform all assembly operations as well as basic warehouse functions. Potential for full-time position in the future.
- Perform mechanical assembly and packaging of mirror systems
- Maintain standard production rates at quality standards
- Build pallets including shrink wrap and strapping
- Assist with material handling and storage
- Understand and follow safety rules and regulations, handle all equipment efficiently and safely
- Learn and use correct methods of operation and procedures for the assembly being produced
- Notify supervisor immediately when parts are not to specification or when a safety hazard exists
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe work environment and clean your work area at the end of each day
- Comfortable, safety toed shoes are required (reimbursement provided)
- This position requires being able to sit, stand, bend, reach below the waist or above the shoulders throughout the day
- May be required to properly lift up to 55 pounds without reasonable accommodation
- Maintain regular, reliable attendance
- Able to work from procedures, samples and verbal instructions
- Able to use electric screwdrivers and hand tools
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills
- Pass background screening and drug test
- Previous assembly, warehouse and/or forklift experience required
