Coordinate workflow and communication with all other departments to maintain efficient operations.
Ensure all employees are safety compliant and following FGS/NOV safety procedures at all times.
Monitor shop floor personnel to ensure adherence to housekeeping standards and company policies.
Maintain knowledge of equipment, processes, and specifications to ensure correct machine setup and product quality. Can run chopper gun or center carriage, obtain a proficient level of knowledge to support training and development of new employees through On-the-Job Training (OJT) initiatives.
Drive the team to meet or exceed quality and production goals.
Controls and checks the work performed by assigned personnel in the mandrel area to ensure the products produced meet or exceed quality standards, production goals, and promised customer dates.
Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and resources are available for production activities. Prepares stores requisition and ensures proper raw materials are available. Procures stores items from warehouse attendant or through warehouse access. Completes inventory check and report material needs.
Accurately completes records and reports (including, but limited to, shell records, manufacturing records, SPC charts, shift reports, etc. communicate effectively with issues to appropriate personnel).
Determines quality defects and coordinates corrective action, is expected to know the tank specifications and can network with QA engineer or supervisor. Audits the work performance of the mandrel crew and coach effectively.
Inspects parts for thickness, color cure, specification compliance, and visual standard compliance.
Willingness to work overtime and shift schedules as required.
Physical ability to bend, lift, walk, stand, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours daily.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and push/pull for extended periods.
Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, technical drawings, and related documentation.
Commitment to safe work practices and proper use of all safety equipment.
Accountability for meeting standards, deadlines, and performance expectations.
Ability to lead by example, motivating others to achieve team goals.
Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual skills preferred.
Prior experience in a supervisory or lead role, or significant experience within manufacturing operations.
Familiarity with workplace policies, safety standards, and company procedures.
Ability to adapt and cross-train across multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of quality standards, compliance requirements, and safety procedures.
Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and escalate when necessary.
