Assembler/Production Worker

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Read and interpret blueprints to determine tube specifications, roll & cut tubes in tube sheets, stab tubes in unit. Dealing with insulation, sheet metal, screws, piping and hydros.

· Completes hydrostatic testing in accordance with standard work instructions.

· Operates overhead crane.

· Keep a clean and hazard free workspace.

· Identify defective items and handle them accordingly.

· Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.

· Responsible for following safety protocols and supporting 5S procedures.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or GED – minimum requirement

· Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to take and follow directions and work in a team environment.

· Ability to work overtime as required.

· Ability to read and interpret tape measure and/or measuring devices (e.g. caliper, micrometer)

· Ability to safely operate a variety of hand tools (POWERED and MANUAL).

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

· Ability to safely lift or maneuver 75 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment for this position does include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, moving mechanical parts, and working on confined space and elevated workspaces.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be able to stand 10 or more hours per day and operate a variety of hand tools both powered and manual.

· Position requires standing or walking most of the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling.

· Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks.

· Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with confined space entry and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required.

· Must be able to lift/maneuver 75lbs. unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
