Job Description:

General Objectives:

Reporting to the Assay Lab Supervisor, the Assay Technician works a modified 4 on and 5 off, 12-hour schedule – usually day shift. The Assay Tech performs duties in the Assay lab conducting analytical work on pit, pad, plant and bullion samples. Duties include, but not limited to: sample preparation, weighing samples, and performing gold analyses using AA spectrophotometer and gravimetric methods. Additional tasks may include preparation of analytical standards, safe disposal of waste materials and accurate/precise data and record keeping (Excel and Word).
