Overview

Greenway Industries of NJ, LLC ("Greenway") is seeking an experienced and dependable Asphalt Plant Mechanic to perform maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of equipment at our asphalt plant. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills and a solid understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems. This role is critical to ensuring minimal downtime and safe operation of all plant systems.

Key Responsibilities

•

Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on plant equipment including conveyors, motors, pumps, screens, dryers and mixers.

•

Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment failure and maximize uptime.

•

Troubleshoot malfunctions using tools such as multimeters, diagnostic software, and schematics.

•

Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.

•

Weld and fabricate parts when necessary for equipment repairs or modifications.

•

Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, and production support as needed.

•

Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with company safety policies and OSHA standards.

•

Communicate equipment issues to the Plant Manager and work collaboratively with other plant personnel.

Qualifications

•

High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

•

3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in an asphalt or aggregate plant setting.

•

Strong mechanical, electrical, welding and hydraulic system knowledge.

•

Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

•

Must be able to work independently and prioritize tasks.

•

Ability to lift heavy components, climb ladders and work in confined spaces and elevated areas.

•

Legally authorized to work in the US.

•

Able to understand and respond to written and verbal English.

•

Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

•

Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and a drug and alcohol screen test.

Work Conditions

•

Outdoor and industrial environment with exposure to heat, dust, noise and heavy machinery.

•

Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
