Key Responsibilities
•Safety First: Ensure safe and efficient foot, equipment and vehicular traffic flow at the plant site and conduct regular inspections to address any safety concerns.
•Operational Excellence: Manage material flow, system speeds and temperatures to minimize waste and meet production requirements.
•Inventory Oversight: Monitor and maintain adequate stockpile inventory to support seamless production.
•Supply Chain: Maintain constant communication with co-workers, supervisors, quality control technicians and customers to ensure a steady and reliable supply chain for the project.
•Team Leadership: Supervise and train employees, as needed, to promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
•Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs, including welding, hand-shoveling, painting, chipping, etc.
•Problem Solving: Collaborate with supervisors, quality control technicians and coworkers to troubleshoot and resolve production challenges.
•Housekeeping: Always maintain a clean and organized work environment.
•Reporting: Complete and submit accurate reports and data entries using computer systems.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or GED is required.
•General mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
•Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
•Experience on front-end loader.
•Experience in the asphalt industry.
•Must have reliable transportation.
•Welding experience is desirable.
•Possesses strong mental fortitude, with the ability to remain composed and focused during high-stakes situations.
•Comfortable working in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials as required.
•Strong organizational and communication skills to manage tasks efficiently.
