Mirra is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Aerial Construction Supervisor to oversee telecommunications aerial construction projects and supervise our line crews. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a solid background in aerial telecommunications construction, and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing daily field operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Supervise and direct daily activities of aerial linemen and ground crews on telecommunications construction projects.
•Plan, schedule, and coordinate work, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and customer expectations.
•Ensure all aerial construction work is performed in accordance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures.
•Perform job site inspections and audits to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
•Serve as the primary point of contact for field crews, subcontractors, and clients regarding project progress and issues.
•Provide hands-on support when necessary, including assisting with linework in complex situations.
•Ensure proper documentation of work performed, materials used, and equipment utilized.
•Monitor and report on crew performance, providing coaching, training, and disciplinary action as needed.
•Support company initiatives for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
•Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition and ensure crews do the same.
Required Qualifications:
•Minimum 5 years of experience in aerial telecommunications construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
•Strong working knowledge of aerial construction techniques, equipment, materials, and safety practices.
•Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and permits.
•Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
•Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•Valid CDL (preferred) and ability to drive company vehicles.
•OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
•Familiarity with utility company standards, NESC, and local/state regulations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
•This role requires approximately 50% office-based work (planning, reporting, coordinating) and 50% field-based work (site supervision, inspections, crew oversight).
•Field work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
•Work may involve exposure to heights, energized equipment, and construction-related hazards, with proper PPE and safety measures provided.
•Must be able to climb poles, ladders, and work at heights up to 60 feet using appropriate fall protection equipment.
•Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. as needed.
•Occasional extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel may be required depending on project needs.
