Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Telecom Construction Coordinator to oversee and support the construction and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between project management, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.
Key Responsibilities:•Coordinate and monitor day-to-day telecom construction activities, including site preparation, installation, and testing.
•Work closely with construction managers, field engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
•Review and interpret construction drawings, permits, and specifications for accuracy and feasibility.
•Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, work orders, and status reports.
•Track material deliveries, inspect job sites for progress and safety compliance, and resolve on-site issues as needed.
•Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-builts, change orders, RFIs, and daily construction logs.
•Communicate project updates and progress reports to internal teams and clients.
•Ensure all construction complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
•Support closeout documentation including final inspections, punch lists, and handover packages.
Qualifications:
•Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
•Experience: 2–5 years of experience in telecom construction coordination or similar role.
+ Telecom infrastructure (fiber optics, small cell, DAS, tower, OSP/ISP).
+ Construction methods, permits, safety codes, and industry standards (NEC, NESC, OSHA, etc.).
+ Strong project coordination, multitasking, and time management.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient with construction software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, GIS, etc.).
+ Ability to read technical drawings and construction documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Familiarity with permitting processes and utility coordination.
•Experience with wireless or wireline deployments (5G, FTTx, small cell).
•OSHA 10/30 certification or other safety training.
Work Conditions:
•Split between office and field environments.
•May require travel to job sites and occasional extended hours or weekends.
•Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and work in varied weather conditions (for field inspections).
