Summary:
Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, the Area Manager will lead, manage, and supervise all aspects of underground utility electrical operations in Texas. Work involves responsibility for planning, directing, and coordinating all customer facing operations as well as the management of internal crews, subcontractors, material, and equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop and execute operational strategies to optimize project execution across the state of Texas.
•Support UtilityInnovation Services expansion strategy by growing the operations team across the state.
•Establish and refine operational processes to ensure smooth transition during expansion phases.
•Oversee daily operations, leading a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer expectations.
•Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
•Drive cost efficiencies and process improvement initiatives.
•Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
Desired Qualifications:
•Education & Experience: A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to 5+ years in medium voltage utility operations.
•Supervisory Experience: At least 3+ years of supervisory experience is preferred, overseeing underground maintenance and capital projects.
•Project Financials: Proven track record of delivering projects on time and in budget.
•Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with underground infrastructure, including electric, gas, water, and fiber systems.
•Safety & Compliance: History of putting safety first along with knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to underground operations.
•Leadership & Communication: Ability to train, mentor, and manage teams, resolve conflicts, interact professionally with customers, vendors, and the public.
