ShearWorx has an immediate opening for the role of Area Manager (AM) located in Birmingham, Alabama to oversee the operations of multiple job sites within the ShearWorx operational footprint. This role is charged with ensuring profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction at each of their assigned locations. The AM works closely with the onsite staff and our customers to ensure our people, processes, and production efforts are maximized for the benefit of all stakeholders. Oversee daily operations at multiple sites to ensure efficient, safe, and profitable performance
Lead, mentor, and develop onsite supervisor(s) focusing on engagement, accountability, and productivity
Foster a positive work environment where safety, respect, communication, and teamwork are top priorities
Manage employee timekeeping, attendance, and disciplinary processes in accordance to company policies
Conduct regular site visits to audit customer service standards, safety practice, and operational performance
Lead operational meetings, employee trainings, and customer outreach efforts to keep teams aligned and customer informed
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business
Quickly and effectively resolve customer concerns and service issues to promote satisfaction
Manage budgets, control operational costs, and allocate resources strategically
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to generate accurate and timely reports, providing actionable insights to support business decision-making and operational efficiency
Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies
Communicates and collaborates with other departments to ensure communication and collaboration across teams
Develop and coordinate employee schedules aligned with customer requirements and service demands
Ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, state/local agencies)
Manage supply order and maintain optimal inventory levels to support operational needs
Willing and able to travel up to 45% of the time
Flexibility to report to work nights and weekends when needed
Skilled in troubleshooting and rapid decision making, balancing cost efficiency and risk mitigation
Proficiency in use of technology such as Google Suites (Sheets & Docs) and/or Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Spanish proficiency is a nice-to-have and would be beneficial in this role
A thorough knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems
