Position Summary: Will be responsible for providing manufacturing and technical support; production training and development for PEQ Manufacturing. Requires strong working knowledge and application of Critical-to-Quality criteria and PEQ product knowledge
Job Description:
•Manages the work activities of department personnel to achieve maximum quality and productivity of the department
•Leads and drives good housekeeping and 5S(Visual Management)
•Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees
•Maintains job results through coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
•Reviews and approves production schedules to establish priorities
•Analyzes reports to determine the cause of manufacturing problems and resolves problems
•Resolves personnel issues to include hiring, counseling, discipline, pay, benefits, and termination
•Develops and controls departmental Opex and Capex budget along with developing Capex justification with minimal assistance
•Coordinates production requirements with other departments
•Audits processes, quality procedures, and production quantities for compliance and correctness
•Reviews new or updated production processes and/or test procedures
•Interfaces with vendors, sales, project management and engineering personnel to resolve equipment problems and improve quality of products
•Develops & manages operational metrics for achievement of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives
•Develop and utilize current and future state value stream map and create 3-6 month kaizen plan for the assigned area
•Leads, participates, and drives lean initiatives to support business objectives
•Teach and coaches employees on basic lean tools and methods
•Maintains a safe, secure, and productive working environment for department personnel
•Develop staff to upgrade supervisory ability and increase floor leadership
•Manages preventative maintenance of all equipment within the department and insures effective use of company resources such as utilities, tools, consumables, and other supplies
•Responsible for inventory control/material flow within their assigned areas
Preferred Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
•Extensive knowledge of PEQ product line and/or vessel fabrication process.

•Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
•Self-motivated, ability to work under general supervision
