The normal work schedule is 11 hours per day on a rotation of 4 weeks: 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks for rest.

Responsibilities :

Under the supervision of the Inuit Programs Coordinator and in close collaboration with the Training Specialist, the Apprentice Trainer is responsible for tracking the training of Inuit employees. Their main responsibilities are:

- Guide and coach Inuit employees in their professional development, particularly for the training required for various positions;

- Provide on-the-ground support to assist employees; • Deliver certain training (e.g., WHMIS) and ensure proper understanding;

- Identify specific training needs to meet operational requirements and support employees' professional growth;

- Update training programs to ensure compliance with current policies and guidelines;

- Collaborate with trainers and recruiters on Inuit training-related topics;

- Contribute to the preparation of theoretical and practical courses;

- Provide support to department supervisors and Inuit HR advisors;

- Monitor participant progress, record information, update data in the system or other tools, and produce any other requested reports;

- Perform any other related tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

The profile sought

- High school diploma or relevant qualification;

- Experience in a training position or a combination of experience and knowledge in a consulting role;

- Proficiency in MS Office suite software;

- Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders;

- Ability to communicate in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, or French (trilingualism is an asset);

- Experience with Inuit communities;

- Valid driver’s license (territorial accepted).
