Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field with a focus on solar energy and generators while working under the supervision of experienced electricians. The Apprentice Electrician will assist in various electrical tasks on construction sites, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in the industry.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Perform tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
- Work with a team to achieve project goals
- Install solar panels on rooftops or other structures following engineering specifications
- Connect panels to electrical systems
- Perform electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
- Assist in the commissioning of solar energy systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 Ibs
- Valid Drivers License
- Ability to park / drive small to large trailers
- Willing to travel to job sites
- Some overnights required for out of town work. Willingness to travel is required.
- Prior experience or coursework related to electrical work is preferred but not required. Ideally 0-2 years of electrical experience.
- Familiarity with industrial electrical systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical principles, including understanding of circuits and schematics.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges within the electrical field.
