The position is based in Nunavik and follows a rotational work schedule of 4 paid weeks: 2 working weeks (77 hours per week, 7 days a week), followed by 2 paid weeks off.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Supervisor, the Procurement Officer will be responsible for the execution of all administrative tasks within the procurement function to ensure continuity of mine operations with the aim of increasing productivity.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
•Prepare and send purchase orders.
•Follow up orders throughout the procurement process.
•Coordinate deliveries and manage returns or claims.
•Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
•Identify cost reduction opportunities.
•Plan and organize the work to be done while providing support to users, suppliers and internal customers.
•Perform all related tasks as requested by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in an appropriate discipline.
•1 to 3 years' relevant experience in a similar role.
•Mastery of work processes and best practices in supply management.
•Customer focus and ability to manage change.
•Demonstrate good team spirit, courteous attitude and desire for customer satisfaction.
•Proficiency in purchasing-specific analytical and IT tools,
•Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written).
•Excellent command of MS Office software.
•Multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Assets
•Familiarity with the TI Guide.
•Knowledge of mining products.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Due to frequent communication with French-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to enhance internal communication.
