As the Procurement Specialist, you will be primarilyresponsible for supporting vendor qualification and set-up, managing credit card activity, supporting divisions on purchasing through establishing national accounts and providing divisional allocations.
· Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities and evaluate offers based on price, quality and reliability.
· Support vendor qualifications process and set-up vendors with approval from CFO or VP of Finance.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration.
· Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules and payment terms.
· Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities, such as supply shortages or price fluctuations.
· Manage the company credit card activity, report on spending, support compliance with company policy and review national account set-up to utilize purchasing power.
· Work with operations teams to provide data from Traverse through dashboard access or timely reporting to allow operations to manage projects efficiently and profitably.
· Manage continued process improvement for Traverse Dashboard reporting to key project stakeholders.
· Establish key relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure timely communication to resolve questions or data requests.
· Manage credit agency activity and reporting to reflect the appropriate credit review for Z Winds and subsidiaries.
· Manage distributorship agreements and identify preferred pricing benchmarks.
· Perform special projects on behalf of Z Winds and subsidiaries as directed from time to time by CFO or Vice President of Finance.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
· Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
· Solid negotiation skills for securing favorable terms with suppliers.
· Proven relationship management skills for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
· Knowledge of ERP systems for tracking inventory and preparing purchase orders.
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain management, or equivalent experience in the industry.
· 3+ years of experience in a Procurement Specialist or Supply Chain role for a manufacturing or distribution company.
