Your contribution!
Reporting to the Director - Performance Analysis, you will be responsible for monitoring the performance of several photovoltaic sites in operation. The analyst documents and investigates the causes of under performance, and supports operations and engineering in developing solutions. The development of data acquisition and processing systems specific to the sites covered is also part of the tasks in which the analyst participates.
Your day-to-day!•Analyze the overall performance of operating photovoltaic sites on a regular basis (quarterly and monthly, weekly and daily as required);
•Document observations collected or made on site and illustrate phenomena with the data collected, all collated in comprehensive technical reports and presentations to operations and management teams;
•Complete ad-hoc performance analyses at the request of operations;
•Consult regularly with the operations teams to understand and define stoppages and under-performance;
•Prepare and present analysis results to operations;
•Participate in drafting and reviewing operations reports;
•Implement, upgrade and maintain data acquisition and storage solutions from data historization systems in order to visualize and analyze data relevant to understanding the issues identified by the operations team;
•Develop a detailed understanding of these issues by interviewing available technicians and specialists, and visiting the site when necessary and possible;
•Participate in the development of performance analysis and reporting tools;
•Support operating teams by developing tools to facilitate their tasks;
•Develop the ability to detect underperformance and prevent breakdowns by exploiting the data collected and Machine Learning algorithms already in use within the performance team;
•Participate in the due diligence process for asset acquisitions (analysis of production and availability data);
•Support project development teams (contract reviews, analyses, etc.);
•Manage consultants, subcontractors and suppliers for projects in operation;
Your skills, our requirements!
•Minimum of one year's experience in a similar position or a combination of relevant training and experience
•Training in electrical, physical or mechanical engineering or any other relevant scientific discipline
•Good synthesis and strong writing skills
•Organized, proactive, rigorous and cartesian
•Available for occasional travel, mainly in North America
•Knowledge of programming languages for data analysis such as Matlab or Python
•Knowledge of data visualization software such as Tableau is an asset
•Knowledge of databases (SQL) is an asset
•Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems is an asset
•Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) required to ensure collaboration with various stakeholders outside Quebec on a recurring basis.

•The position is based at the company's Longueuil headquarters, steps away from the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station.
