About the role As an Environmental Advisor, your role is to support the Environment manager and team(s) in implementing and coordinating environmental practices across the [region of accountability]. You will provide technical expertise and assist in the delivery of key initiatives, systems, and training to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and minimise environmental risks and impacts. Key Responsibilities You will play a crucial role in ensuring environmental compliance within [region of accountability]. Your responsibilities include implementing environmental procedures to meet regulatory requirements and company standards. You will also oversee the compliance of contractors and employees with environmental legislation, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance awareness and adherence. Additionally, you will actively participate in safety investigations, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for mitigating environmental risks. Regular coordination of safety audits will be essential to maintain a safe working environment, addressing hazards promptly and effectively. Furthermore, you will maintain open communication with key stakeholders, including site management, supervisors, and external contacts, to discuss environmental targets and initiatives for continuous performance improvement.
