Overview
The Aluminum Processor is responsible for movement of both heavy loads and raw material on and off the machinery throughout the facility. They are also responsible for sorting, measuring, shearing and breaking material and operate the burn table.
- Forklift, Mitre Saw, Shear, Break, Tape Measure, CNC Burn Table, Hand Tools
- Good understanding of set up techniques
- Equipment knowledge and experience
- Ability to solve basic mathematical equations.
- Able to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
- One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Work to continuously improve the operations of the department through lean activities and improvement suggestions
- Willing and able to work flexible hours
- Sorting raw material and burn kits to be processed by the shear and break
- Squaring up and shearing material accurately
- Squaring up and breaking material accurately
- Measures, marks, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining as necessary for Burn Table
- Burn Table
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required
Please note: All employees must also be able to work in a warehouse setting that includes exposure to noise, all weather conditions, small levels of airborne particles and occasionally lift more than 50-75lbs.
