Advanced Machine Operator

About the Role:

Gateway Extrusions is currently seeking reliable and motivated individuals to join our production team as Machine Operators and Saw Helpers. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery to support efficient aluminum extrusion production.

We’re looking for team players with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety. Prior experience is a plus, but we offer on-the-job training to help you succeed and grow in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate extrusion machinery and saws efficiently and safely

- Feed raw materials into machines and monitor output

- Perform regular quality checks using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)

- Inspect parts for accuracy, identify defects, and ensure consistent product quality

- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues during the shift

- Keep accurate records of production output, including approved and defective units

- Maintain activity logs and follow all safety procedures and guidelines

- Support team goals by demonstrating accountability, flexibility, and initiative

- Deliver excellent customer service by contributing to quality and timely production

What We’re Looking For:

- Previous machine operation experience preferred but not required

- Ability to read and use a tape measure with accuracy

- Familiarity with production environments and high-speed machinery

- Understanding of safety protocols and use of protective equipment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus

- Excellent attention to detail and quality standards

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week; 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift
