This position is in the Centerline group within Field Service. The role is Advance Gas Turbine Expert supporting new unit installation, commissioning and technical issue resolutions. The person must be well versed in advanced gas turbine maintenance along with associated procedures and tooling. Travel to job sites may be required on occasion to perform field walkdowns to gather information on specific projects. Knowledge of power plants is necessary and experience with SGT-5000F6.3 and SGT-9000HL gas turbines is a plus! Tool design and procedure writing skills are also desired.
How You’ll Make An Impact
•Responsible for developing new processes, procedures, tools and training for new technology in the areas of installation and commissioning for new gas turbines.
•Create documentation and presentations for the Projects team to use for customer meetings. Participate in customer meetings as requested.
•Responsible for developing training material for engineers to install and maintain new technology or implement solutions for technical issues as required.
•Support field service organizations by developing solutions to Completion of Factory Scope outage situations and implementation of technical issue resolutions.
•Participate in design reviews and support team activities associated with new designs and technical issue solutions.
What You Bring
•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Or combined equivalent (extensive experience/educational background including potential technical certifications or degrees). 5+ years of experience in the field of gas turbine maintenance or construction.
•Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently in addition to working well in groups.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing work for yourself and others, under strict timelines and being flexible to changing needs. Prior experience with Siemens Energy’s customers, equipment, and processes is required.
•Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong technical writing skills. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and ability to learn others as needed).
•Flexibility and willingness for domestic and international travel 10%.
•Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
