ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT
Classification: Non-Exempt Reports to: Plant Superintendent
The Administrative Assistant performs general office work for operations, pre-treatment, and field maintenance departments.
1. Compiles flow data from receiving station
4. Tracks septage permits for renewal dates
5. Renews trucker permits per DEP and WVBPH requirements
6. Compiles field maintenance inspection sheets for station and CSO inspections
7. Promotes courtesy and professionalism throughout the City of Huntington

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
Work is performed indoors and operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear. The employee frequently must be able to manipulate writing instruments, a keyboard and mouse. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Schedule
This is a full-time position. Primary days of work are Monday through Friday.
Travel
Occasional travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school or GED
Associate degree in business or degree from a business college
