Position Summary
As an Administrative Assistant I at Oncor, you’ll provide administrative assistance and support to the Claims and Legal organization. This role will report directly to the Claims Manager.
Key Responsibilities•Performs multiple duties, sometimes of a sensitive and/or confidential nature, utilizing available resources to ensure safe and efficient office organization.
•Gather and compile data to prepare and provide itemized cost breakdowns to responsible parties, business entities, and insurance companies for review and payment of claims.
•Serve as a backup to the other Administrative Assistants on occasion as needed, including but not limited to the following areas:
+ Managing Liability Fleet
+ Monitoring Daily Claims Portal Submissions
+ Monitoring Escalations Inbox
•Gather data and information for No Fault Non-Preventable Vehicle Accidents to be provided to the responsible Claims Representative. Responsibilities include: retrieving official police and fire reports, contacting insurance companies, contacting collision repair shop and obtaining other pertinent information as required.
•Receipt of all claims and review for thoroughness and accuracy.
•Verification of charges and loading charges.
•Entering of claims into the Claims database and assignment of unique claim number to each.
•Invoicing of claims to responsible third-parties.
•Provides cost breakdowns to claimants and insurance companies upon request.
•Proper filing of all open and closed claims.
•Liaison with service centers and property accounting department.
•Ensures correct accounting of collection amount and closing of claims.
•Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
•High School diploma, GED or equivalent and 1+ years of experience in administrative support functions required.
